BECOMING YOUR OWN HITTING COACH:
THE BASEBALL SWING

Take a deep breath in order to relax. Your eyes are focused at 60 feet and will switch to the pitcher's release point as he begins the delivery. You are balanced and feel confident and in complete control.

Your body weight goes to your back leg, your hands "trigger" the bat, and you begin your stride and start your weight transfer.

Your hips begin rotation at this point. Your bottom hand is driving the bat down to the ball.

Your top hand kicks in and accelerates the bat head. Tracking is completed and your swing is committed at this point.

Your head is down and your eyes are locked on the incoming pitch. Your weight transfer is complete and is now centered in your midbody.
